Greetings to local Scout Troop 42 Alumni:

Good News... In about three months... It's Time for a 4T2 50^th Anniversary Reunion... Can You Believe That..??...

Remember the 25th... Just about 300 months ago (flyer enclosed to jostle your mind) we gathered in San Mateo for dinner and a fun evening of fellowship.

Let's Do It Again... Round-Up the Usual Suspects, etc.

Caution... Sad News... We recently `lost' a wonderful T/42 Scout (circ. 19701975)... Patrol Leader : Bob Lavenstein of San Diego, CA.

A Memorial Service was held Tuesday afternoon February 26' at Temple Beth El, 19th and Alameda de las Pulgas... Several former Scouts and `old guard' members of 4T2 were in attendance.

The question of a suitable memorial was raised and the suggestion

"B.S.A. - Troop 42, Memorial Fund" was selected.

The Troop will utilize the funds for equipment purchases, 'campership' awards (to defer the cost of the summers camp experience) and other items befitting a memorial acknowledgement... The current Troop treasurer is Mr. Bill Tauskey, 717 Oregon Avenue, San Mateo, CA, 94402.

Yes, my kitchen rotary-dial telephone still functions... I have contacted the enclosed list of `locals' by phone or snail mail... From your travels and contacts, kindly notify other T/42 Alumni.

Best Wishes for continued Excellence in Scouting...
